Retrospection of a Home (Once Upon a Time…) is a personal essay-film exploration into the collective memory of a Venezuelan family in exile, and the home they had to leave behind years ago.

Sebastian Marcano-Pérez is an experimental filmmaker born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Miami, Florida. His work explores ideas such as immigration and the Venezuelan exodus, through the amalgamation of analog and digital, in what he calls “hand-made folktales.”
